truly beautiful

LordAndiso responds:

Thank you very much!

no beep boop bops? :((

Typewriter7051 responds:

nah I couldn't get the samples lol

hmmm really skeptical as to whether this is actually original or not XD. if this isn't and you really stole it, can you give me a link hehe?

but if you really did this tho... the vocal track and instrumental here is pretty solid. it's too dry though, so you might need to add some reverb to them. will expect more from you ;))

dgenrnation responds:

I made this. Why skeptical? Thanks for the feedback.

vocaloid?

awww yea touhou-styled beat yo'! i really do have a soft spot for songs like these, as you can never truly go wrong with these type of songs. xD

btw is that a real guitar? or is it a vst? regardless the rhythm guitar seems a bit too harsh. maybe tone that down a bit? enough to let the leads stand out. compositionally this song is fine, but this song does face the problem of a weak bass. like, i know it's there, but maybe if you had boosted those frequencies your song will sound much fuller that way. overall, absolutely love your song, keep rocking on my dude!

p.s. your english is a-okay my dude ;)

ctr34 responds:

Yea, it was too late until i noticed the bass problem. Also, the e-guitar is a vst so it sounds unrealistic. I will take note of all your feedback for future projects. Thank you so much for the comment!

wow, it seems that you too face the problem of a cpu lag. big mood all the way! those were free vsts you say? cause' goddamn those are some grade-A sounds. (spitfire labs ftw baby!!) it's almost as if it belongs in one of those big cinematic movies. really liked how you gave a lot of realism to the trumpet at 2;01-2;14, like i could've sworn that an actual person was playing that part omg. :o

vermeen responds:

Ahh, thank you so much! Yes, Spitfire Labs really is God's gift to poor music makers around the world. If only we could all just download a better CPU though, amirite?
Oh yeah- I just gave your submission a listen and I really like it too!
Thanks for the feedback!

ahhh scaryy... this really does have a lot of potential. like bluecheesecult said, some mixing would help your sounds stand out a bit more. i'd suggest adding some more "dynamic" in this song... maybe switch those lacklustre drums you have for 808's? haha this song was building up to one of those hard beats after all, with all those "pause" effects your song could work really well with those drums. (you could keep the drums, but at least make it more interesting, like added percussions, fills, etc.) panning would do you wonders as well in making an atmosphere. i see all your sounds are clumped up at one place, not really having any space to stand out. try to use things like vibrato, trills, ghost notes, etc. to bring out the dynamic in your melodies. if used correctly, the vibe it gives will be "next level". that's all from me. sick idea you got here! really gives me a ruins of alph vibe.

DawMii responds:

Noted! Thanks a lot!!

ooo i do love me some great guitar songs! i really dig this fusion of metal and sci-fi that you've made here. what this song needs is a little bit more dynamic, so maybe a faster part or an off the top shred section would really amp up the feels if you know what i mean. (don't forget to end it all on a soft melody :33) mix sounds okay to me, but if you could do any more refinement on this, please do! all in all, naicu!!

MetalRenard responds:

Hey, thanks for the kind words! (Finally finished the mix though! Yay!)
I considered something faster in the middle but I couldn't find anything that fit. Hmm...

you have a really weird style... what inspires you to make these kinds of stuff?

itemgod responds:

thanks mate
I'm inspired by the feeling of a overdriven square wave that makes your whole body rumble. also like junkyard internet tunes that you heard in that one swf animation you watched back in 2012

lol what a match made in heaven amirite

alrightt, so this is just "aiyaiyai" mixed with the megalovania melody replayed over and over (with some variations spread throught the song) with what feels like the same instruments. though i had hoped you would've made an original melody and put a bit of yourself in this track, it's perfectly fine.

maybe you could switch the instruments up a bit after some time for more variation? like how thefatrat does it in his song "unity" (correct me if i'm wrong lmaoo but you get what i mean) really liked the breakdown part at 1;41 tho.

the song clips in some parts distorting it, most notably at 1;14-1;21. putting a limiter (for minor clipping) or paying attention to the master levels when you're mixing solves the problem. (make sure the levels aren't over 0db and you're fine) the pluck gets a bit too loud at times also, so you might wanna' lower that down. other than that i would say it's alright.

overall, nice song!

Airux responds:

Thanks! This is a very great help for me 😅 tbh I'm still learning and I'm looking forward for more lessons to come. I'm gonna apply those you have said 😎 Thanks again bud 😁 Happy New Year
