AlbeGian responds:

Sometimes life can take us through the craziest moments one can't and will never expect, and that's okay because it's part of what makes it beautiful. I hope your hopes are still high now that you got far into the competition. You make really good stuff, I like it a lot. So go out there and show em who's boss, my friend! Sending my best wishes!! ^^

yooo new skenskys drop

absolutely fire

skenskys responds:

i have fans here?
sorta not what i expected but im not complaining
hi thx for bein here

analyzing your mix, i'd say if you were to give it some more stereo and reeverb, your song would be more fuller that way. try finding free stereo imager plugins plus learn how to pan as that will make your mix less clumped together.

as for the eq part, i find that the mix gets really muddy at the high mids. (which is like somewhere around 3000hz) boosting the trebles at 5k-10k hz and low mids a bit, along with cutting the high mids (a bit too) makes the song a lot more clearer. (for this specific song tho don't go applying that to every other song hehe)

funny thing i found out about your basses is that they never really touch the lowest end of the frequency spectrum, (which is like around the 20-50hz area, or the sub bass) maybe if you lowered them down an octave or two they should touch that frequency. lmms does have an eq with a frequency spectrum right?

compositionally, i like this. although simple, you're getting there :o

DJ-Halit responds:

I will look into mixing a little later. Thank you for the feedback! :)

damn is this the winner of last years ngadm?

jesus this production is too good, actually gives me the chills and feels listening to this...

Phonometrologist responds:

You're very kind. Thank you. I always recommend a blanket while listening :)

there is definitely some synth design going on in here

great work!

nichi777 responds:

yes sir lots of layering! especially on that arp. that buchla VST by arturia can come up with some interesting sounds.

wait are those vocals yours???? or are they synthesized wow

UmbrellaLife responds:

Yep! I sing both the voices haha

hey, this isn't half bad for what it is! i really love the simple and sweet melody in this song and also the ideas you're trying to convey in it :o

i'd suggest you to try smoothening those transitions (eg. learning how to make proper fills, white noises and risers) and find out how to mix better (especially drums, i can definitely see your drumwork coming along, just needs better mixing in order to shine out y'know?)

keep on the grind, and you'll get somewhere ;))))

rherdalaezian responds:

Omg thank youuuu
I will take that into account!
(:
